SAN ANGELO, Texas (PRWEB) July 16, 2018

CalTech ranks among the world’s 501 most strategic and innovative managed service providers (MSPs), according to Channel Futures 11th-annual MSP 501 Worldwide Company Rankings.

The MSP 501 is the first, largest and most comprehensive ranking of managed service providers worldwide. This year Channel Futures received a record number of submissions. Applications poured in from Europe, Asia, South America and beyond.

As it has for the last three years, Channel Futures teamed with Clarity Channel Advisors to evaluate these progressive and forward-leaning companies. MSPs were ranked according to our unique methodology, which recognizes that not all revenue streams are created equal. We weighted revenue figures according to how well the applicant's business strategy anticipates trends in the fast-evolving channel ecosystem.

"We are honored to have ranked among the top MSPs in the world," said Will Welch, CEO, CalTech. "Our team truly makes CalTech unique. Their dedication to the success of our great customer base is unmatched."

Channel Futures is pleased to honor CalTech.

For the first time, Channel Futures will also name 10 special award winners, including MSP of the Year, CEO of the Year and one Lifetime Achievement Award for a career of excellence in the channel.

The MSP 501 winners and award recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony at Channel Partners Evolution, held this year October 9-12 in Philadelphia, as well as in the Fall issue of Channel Partners Magazine.

“This year’s applicant pool was the largest and most diverse in the history of the survey, and our winners represent the health and progressivity of the managed services market,” says Kris Blackmon, Channel Futures content director and editor of the MSP 501. “They’re growing their revenue, expanding their customer influence and exploring new technology that will propel them for years to come.”

The full MSP 501 report, available this fall, will leverage applicant responses, interviews and historical data to identify business and technology trends in the IT channel. Highlights will include:· Revenue growth and business models
· Hiring trends and workforce dynamics
· Business strategies
· Service deliverables
· Business tools and automation investments

The complete 2018 MSP 501 list is available at Channel Futures.

New Book Combines Medicine, Murder, and Vaccines in “The DNR Trilogy”

Author Dr. Don W. Hill’s Real Life Experiences in Medical School Serve as a Basis for Fictional Thriller

KONA, Hawaii (PRWEB) July 16, 2018

Dr. Don W. Hill was in medical school when brutal violence and crime was occurring around the Texas Medical Center, where he was receiving his doctoral education. While attending an international cancer symposium, he also overheard two women in the medical field discussing an act of violence that they got away with against a prisoner who was hospitalized. These dramatic stories and occurrences left such an impression on Hill that they would later become a part of his new medical suspense trilogy.

In “The DNR Trilogy: Volume 1: Backing the Wrong Primate,” Hill chronicles the story of J.D. Brewster and the tragic and dehumanizing events he witnessed during his time in medical school. Brewster later reflects on these events in his memoir and how they lead to the demise of his career and morality.

Such events chronicled in the fictional story include brutal violence against a beloved nurse, the planned death by hospital staff of a criminal patient and more, both of which are pulled from past real-life events and scenarios in the author’s medical career.

“Over the course of my career, I have seen many strange and wonderous events that ran through the entire spectrum of the human experience,” Hill said. “I ended up writing the novel after all those years when a weekend trip became the plot point around my novel that I could no longer ignore.”

In “The DNR Trilogy: Volume 1: Backing the Wrong Primate,” readers will be on the edge of their seats as the medical thriller comes to a shocking cliffhanger: Will Nurse Segulla survive?

About the Author

A native of Houston, Donald W. Hill, MD, FACP, graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1978. After completing his medical school training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1982, Dr. Hill completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1987. At the time that he composed this novel, Dr. Hill had completed thirty years of medical practice that included working in multispecialty clinics, solo practice, and everything in between, including academia and clinical research. As a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Hill is a published scholar but this is his first attempt at a work of fiction. Although approaching the end of his medical career, Dr. Hill was still in practice in Hawaii when he crafted this novel. A self-described angry man safely nestled behind a superficial, amiable facade of banality, Dr. Hill felt compelled to write this novel in an attempt to make peace with God, the universe, and the practice of medicine. Only time will tell whether these lofty objectives have been achieved. For more about the author, please visit http://www.drdonwhill.com/. Reported by PRWeb 5 hours ago.
